There will be a scrimmage practice on Thursday Dec 21st at noon at Prospector park in AJ for all players(all ages). Meet and leave at 11:20 at the post office.
Thanks to all members that helped at our first Pancake Breakfast of the season!
We had a pretty good turnout and all the volunteers efforts are greatly appreciated.
On a side note, there was a donation made today to the GCSA, and the donating couple thought it would be nice if the GCSA community could take a child’s name or two off of the angel tree in the lobby in the spirit of Christmas. What a great idea!
Let’s see what we can do to make sure each remaining child on the angel tree gets a gift for Christmas!
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all.
Congrats to the Gold Canyon Monday Fall Team!
Congrats to the GC Monday Fall Team! They captured first place in the E Division/Level 4A with a 6-6 record! Way to go, another great fall season.

Correction!
I have a correction to yesterday’s news item. Helen Pianowski and Tara Mullen are co-managing the Pancake Breakfast dining room efforts this year. Thanks to both of you!
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!
Good afternoon members!
First of all, the GCSA board would like to extend a BIG “THANK YOU” to Helen Pianowski, who stepped up and will be handling the vast majority of advance ticket sales for our principal fund raiser, the Pancake Breakfast! In addition, she is also assuming the Dining Room Manager duties this year! Way to go Helen!
As most of you know, It takes a lot of work to keep our softball organization moving in the right direction, and it has gotten to the point where we need to seek out more volunteers from our membership! Since Roberts will not be making any donations to our organization in the future, it’s up to us!
We have two areas that need volunteers ASAP!
Soft drink(Pop) Vending Machine – Roberts has allowed us to use the soft drink vending machine next to the post office to generate some income. The duties would include purchasing soft drinks(with GCSA funds), loading the machine, and collecting the money from the machine and taking to the treasurer, Doug Keiper. An hour to stock the machine and a couple hours every few weeks to purchase stock is all it would take.
We also need 4 volunteers who can take turns selling concessions at Bingo on Wednesdays from 7-9 PM.
If interested, please email Don Pier at [email protected] or call/text 920-279-5202.
