Batting cage to be named and dedicated to Gary Esping!

At Sunday night’s “Pot Luck”, Earl Peery came forward  with a great idea to the membership.  He presented a wonderful and fully deserved idea of naming  and dedicating our batting cage after Gary Esping.

Gary has been a consistent and amazing presence in the GCSA for 25 years.  He served as a player, coach, manager, President, Treasurer, League Coordinator, Golf Coordinator, Mentor and especially, “Friend”.

Earl  suggested that as soon as the plaque can be produced, we should perhaps have a dedication ceremony at the batting cage for both players in their uniforms,  as well as any spouses / partners that want to participate and take a group picture to send to Gary & Evelyn Esping.  The membership will be kept aware of when this will occur.

Thanks, Gary, you are missed!

Thanks to all members that helped at our first Pancake Breakfast of the season!

We had a pretty good turnout and all the volunteers efforts are greatly appreciated.

50/50 Winner Loius Belcourt Sp#11 $73.00
Wooden Bowl – Deb Forristall #452
Quilt – Madi Nelson #615

On a side note, there was a donation made today to the GCSA, and the donating couple thought it would be nice if the GCSA community could take a child’s name or two off of the angel tree in the lobby in the spirit of Christmas.  What a great idea!

Let’s see what we can do to make sure each remaining child on the angel tree gets a gift for Christmas!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all.

Someone left a glove and face mark at Canyon Vista yesterday after the game was over.   Below is a picture(disregard Darcy’s feet!)  Contact Dary Sask if these are yours.

Also, Jim Baltus gave the association a pair of under armor soft spike softball shoes he used one year. They are size 10 1/2 and are in good shape. They’re free to a good home.  If interested, contact David Charlebois.
