Last year we sold a TON of advance tickets, but we had a minimum of help selling these tickets.

Pancake breakfasts are our primary fundraiser and it sure would help if we had additional members volunteer to help sell advance tickets.  More money from our fundraisers turns into new uniforms, new bats, etc!

Please think about volunteering some of your time to help sell tickets, it would be greatly appreciated!

Correction!   Our first practice is for ALL players this coming Friday, October 27th.  Meet in the parking lot in front of the post office at 9:30.  We’ll head over to Prospector park in Apache Junction.  Originally I said Friday, Oct 23rd.  My mistake.

David Charlebois is in the park and has all the new uniforms at his site.   So all players can now pick up their uniforms for the season

When you pick up your uniforms, make sure you have your $30 payment for yearly membership fee.

Also, if you ordered a 2nd jersey the cost is $51, unless it is a size 2XL, then the price is $55.  A 2nd pair of shorts will cost $25, 2nd pair of socks are $6, and a second baseball cap is $17.50.  Payment for the aforementioned items are due at uniform pickup.

This coming Sunday at 9:00 we’ll be assembling the batting cage net and Jugs machine!  Let’s get some batting practice in to shake off the rust!

Just so you know, we purchased some Jugs Leatherlast balls. These balls are to use in our Jugs machine. They have the look and feel of regular softballs.  The stitching is made out of Kevlar and guaranteed for 1 year usage in our Jugs machines.  The only difference is the seams are relatively flat and not raised, which is why they can be used in pitching machines.   We wanted to try these because the dimple balls we currently use are not good for composite bats.  (Ask me how I know!)  We only bought a dozen to try before we invest in more of them.   Give us feedback on how they work!

Hello everyone!

We’re quickly approaching our return to Gold Canyon RV & Golf Resort for the winter!

As you know we have purchased new jerseys, shorts and caps for the upcoming softball season.  When you receive your uniforms from David Charlebois, in addition to the new uniform items, you will also receive the same long pants we’ve been using for quite a few years.  Those will be replaced with new pants next year.   If you still have any of the old shorts and jerseys in your possession, you must turn those into David when you receive the new uniforms.

You’ll also receive a copy of the new Code of Conduct that was instituted 02/15/2023, and washing instructions for the new jerseys which are made with a sublimated manufacturing process. Sublimation is a manufacturing process where the entire design of the jersey is directly infused into the fabric. Everything from the colors of the jersey, the design, logos, numbers and player names become part of the fabric. Sublimation jerseys start out as digital designs created on graphic design apps.

Our new jersey

We had great attendance(about 60) and a lot of fun yesterday at the “Pit”!   Greg Verekyn and Kevin Court cooked burgers for everyone, tons of delicious side dishes and desserts were brought by many, and the libations were flowing!

We had music for the first time and JJ & Doug did a great job as usual!

Another great season is in the books!  Lots of fun and enjoyment and looking forward to the 2023/2024 season!

Oops, sorry, made a mistake with the times for the “Pit gathering on Tuesday.  It starts at 2:00, not 4:00.   Music is from 2:00 until 5:00.

Our last “Pit” gathering of the season will be this coming Tuesday at 4:00!  We’re supplying Hamburgers, and encourage everyone to bring side dishes.

And for the first time, we’re having music by JJ & Doug!  Let’s go out with a bang!  Hope to see everyone there!

Today is the last day that Darcy will be collecting aluminum cans and clear plastic bottles.

The inter-squad game will take place on Tuesday, March 21st at Canyon Vista at 10:00 AM. Please meet in the parking lot at 9:30 am to carpool. Alternatively, people can go through the far back gate on foot. There will be a barbecue afterwards at the pit commencing at 2:00 pm. Please bring bring side dishes to compliment the barbecue.

Any Canadians that want to purchase Canada day party tickets? There are available from Darcy at site 384 on New Mexico. The date for the party is March 24. $15.00 each.
