2025-2026 GCSA Golf League Information at Sunland Village East Golf Course in Mesa
Our league season will begin on Friday, November 28 at 12:00 noon. We have five tee times reserved for 18 holes, and on some days we may be able to start a bit earlier.
Fees

November & April: $68 riding / $54 walking

December 1 – March 31: $79 riding / $65 walking
The final league golf date will be April 10.

In accordance with SVE requirements, I must notify the golf shop by 4:00 p.m. each Wednesday with our confirmed number of tee times. I will send a text to confirm your scheduled tee time.

Fall League Update

The Fall season is quickly approaching, so this is a friendly reminder to register as soon as possible if you haven’t already done so!
Once you’ve completed your online registration, please visit Dave Charlebois at 366 New Mexico (call or text 916-501-7000) to pay your annual dues. Dave will also provide you with your uniform at that time.
I haven’t yet received the Fall season schedules, but I’ll post them on the website as soon as they become available. In the meantime, you can view the –> Fall League GCSA team rosters by clicking the link provided. Team assignments are largely consistent with last year, maintaining a similar structure to what we’ll use during the upcoming Winter season. We need your help
Hello GCSA,
Please consider applying for a manager position for the two upcoming softball seasons. Currently we only have one person applying to be a manager for one of the two fall teams and then two people applying to be a manager for the 4 teams in the winter season (one specifically for the 70+ Thursday Nuggets). This leaves us short 1 manager for fall and 2 for winter. Each manager picks their coach and between the two of you, you can decide how to split up any responsibilities.
If by chance you marked the box on the application to be a manager and we missed you, please let me know.

It is time to start thinking about and applying for Manager and Coaching positions for the upcoming fall and winter seasons. With that said, per our draft policy, please submit your request to be considered for such positions in writing to me by October 1st. If you have already submitted your request, no need to do it again.

Reminders!
TODAY – the annual meeting and election of board members for next season takes place in the Ocotillo room at 10:00 AM. In order to vote you must attend the meeting!
TUESDAY – Hamburgers at the pit 4:00 to 6:00.
WEDNESDAY – Inter squad game at Prospector Park – Field 1 at 10:00. Let’s meet up in front of the post office at 9:30 so we know how many players we have before leaving for the field. Also, if you know anyone who might want to play ball next year please invite them to play.

Correction for Inter-squad game and Burgers at the Pit next week!
Just so there’s no confusion!
The Annual Inter-squad game is Wednesday March 19th at 10 am at Prospector Park , Field 1.
Burgers at the Pit will be Tuesday, March 18th at 4:00! The association will be providing the Hamburgers, buns, plates, napkins and condiments. Please bring a potluck dish of your choice to share. We hope to see everyone there
Batting Cage tear down
Please help with taking down the batting cage this coming Saturday, March 15! It’s scheduled to start at 9:00!
Inter Squad Game(10:00) and Burgers at the Pit(4:00)
(Note that this event was originally scheduled for Tuesday, March 18th, but had to be changed because no fields at Prospector Park were available on Tuesday).

After your team has played its last game of the season, please put your jerseys, pants and shorts in a bag with your name on it and drop them off at Dave Charlebois’ park model. DO NOT KEEP YOUR UNIFORMS DURING THE OFF SEASON. You can leave the bag on the table in his driveway if he’s not home. Site 366 on New Mexico street.

Annual Meeting & Elections information
Nominations and Election for the GCSA Board
The annual membership meeting will take place on Monday, March 17th, at 10:00 AM in the Ocotillo Room at the clubhouse.
As part of the agenda, all eligible players in attendance will vote on key matters, including:
- The nomination and election of GCSA Executive Board Officers. Positions up for election include President, First Vice President, Second Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer.
Eligibility and Nomination Process
- All eligible current and former players are qualified to run for a position on the Executive Board.
- If you are interested in running for a board position, please contact Greg Johnson or Kevin Wike, who are serving as this year’s Nominating Committee.
- Candidates for officer positions may be nominated either by the Nominating Committee and/or directly from the floor during the meeting.
Your participation in this process is essential to the continued success of the GCSA. We encourage all eligible members to get involved!
